Alexa Duff Selected for World University Games

Otago’s very own Alexa Duff has been named to the New Zealand Women’s 3x3 basketball team for the 2025 FISU World University Games in Germany.

Her selection follows a standout showing at the UTSNZ 3x3 Nationals, where she helped guide the University of Otago to a bronze medal finish, along with a string of strong performances at the BBNZ Footlocker U20 Nationals representing Basketball Otago. Duff now joins an elite group of student-athletes set to represent Aotearoa on the international stage, competing in one of the fastest-growing formats of the sport.

This milestone is just the latest in a long list of impressive achievements and is a testament to her hard work, perseverance and consistent growth as an athlete. We wish Alexa and the entire team all the best as they prepare to fly the flag for New Zealand in Germany this July.
