What is BNZ Kiwi Hoops?
BNZ Kiwi Hoops is Basketball New Zealand’s national basketball programme for tamariki. It uses basketball activities and games-based learning to support tamariki to develop skills and confidence and grow their love for the game.
The programme also provides best practice tools and resources for coaches, teachers, parents, volunteers, and administrators to ensure all tamariki can play basketball in a safe and enjoyable environment.
To ensure the programme is delivering the right experiences for participants, there are five ways that BNZ Kiwi Hoops Programmes are delivered across the country.

OUR GOAL
The goal of our Development Pathway is for participation and fostering potential.
We aim to do this by engaging as many participants as possible in basketball activities and cultivate a sense of belonging which encourages participants to become lifelong members of the basketball community. The development courses and trainings help bridge the gap between our participation programs and our representative teams. Introduces promising youngsters to a more structured training environment.
