The squad featured numerous former and current Basketball Otago representative players as well as some familiar faces playing in the NBL.
Momentum Agency Otago Toroa - 105
de Geest Construction North Otago Penguins - 67
The Toroa faced the de Geest Construction North Otago Penguins in the first game of the tournament. The Penguins struggled to deal with Matt Bardsley who led the Toroa to victory behind an impressive 34 points.
Momentum Agency Otago Toroa - 129
Eastern Southland - 49
Another dominant performance from Otago saw them once again reach triple digits and give a great opportunity for our younger players to get some court time. This was a strong defensive display as the Toroa held Eastern to just 14 points in the first half and less than 50 points for the entire game.
The final game of the round robin format and the final seeding games will take place on Sunday 13th October at the Edgar Centre. Come along and support the team as they attempt to qualify for the BBNZ TUPU League Finals hosted right here in Dunedin 14-16 November.
What is TUPU League?
