Basketball Otago is working with Basketball New Zealand to offer the first Girls Got Game programme in all of New Zealand in Term 4.  The head coach will be NZ Tall Fern and Otago Gold Rush point guard, Nicole Ruske.  Nicole is passionate about the game and she is excited to share her enthusiasm with young girls in Dunedin.  She will be assisted by local BBO coaches.

Girls Got Game is a fun and friendly basketball programme for primary
school age girls.
Basketball is a fantastic sport for girls, helping to develop movement
and thinking skills in a fun social team environment.

The programme provides:
• A FUN and FRIENDLY experience
• A SUPPORTIVE and non-competitive environment

Girls Got Game is based on Basketball New Zealand’s Kiwi Hoops programme but is modified to meet the needs and preferences of girls.  It is offered at a very affordable rate to families because of funding that BBNZ has acquired.

Girls Got Game aims to introduce more young girls to basketball and encourage them to continue being active and enjoying basketball with their friends.
