Description
Basketball Otago in conjunction with Basketball New Zealand is excited to continue to offer the Girls Got Game programme in term 3. The sessions will be coached by local Gold Rush Players and representative players. They will be assisted by development officer and Gold Rush player Natalie Visger.
Girls Got Game is a fun and friendly basketball programme for primary
school age girls. Basketball is a fantastic sport for girls, helping to develop movement and thinking skills in a fun social team environment.
The programme provides:
• A FUN and FRIENDLY experience
• A SUPPORTIVE and TEAM environment
Girls Got Game is based on Basketball New Zealand’s Kiwi Hoops programme but is modified to meet the needs and preferences of girls. It is offered at a very affordable rate to families because of funding that BBNZ has acquired.
Girls Got Game aims to introduce more young girls to basketball and encourage them to continue being active and enjoying basketball with their friends.
