Otago Under 23s Compete at National Tournament
The Otago Men’s and Women’s teams competed at the Under 23 Nationals in Porirua the 7th-9th of August.
Thanks to all the players, coaches, and support staff for their help with the teams. The timing of U23s with exams, other events, along with the short window for trainings and logistics make it a challenge for all involved.
The girls battled Waikato in the final, finishing 2nd out of 7 teams, bringing home silver medals and a shiny trophy. The men battled the country’s finest and finished 12th of out 15 teams, with a decisive win over Taranaki to finish the trip.
Nicole Ruske was awarded a medal for her selection to the All-Tournament team.
