Today the Otago Gold Rush are thrilled to announce that Dunedin fitness training centre, AM I FIT, has officially joined with the regions only Women’s Basketball Championship (WBC) team as the major naming partner of the AM I FIT Otago Gold Rush for the 2019 season.

Owner Mike Ivamy is excited to continue working with the defending champions saying, “AM I FIT is very proud to be associated with the AM I FIT Otago Gold Rush team. Too often, women’s sport can be overlooked and under supported. This is a great opportunity to support them for the many sacrifices they make each season to compete in the WBC. I look forward to joining many others courtside cheering on the team this season as they look to defend their title”.

Basketball Otago general manager Justin Ludlow also reiterated that he was very happy that AM I FIT were supportive in continuing their partnership with the AM I FIT Otago Gold Rush in an exciting and evolving national league. Mike and his team at the ‘Hangar’ do a fabulous job of ensuring the fitness of our team is structured and prepared to ensure optimum results over time comprising pre -season and in season work. I have no doubt that the fitness of the team was a major factor in the success of claiming a third championship in 2018”.

AM I FIT Otago Gold Rush forward Natalie Visger also added, “AM I FIT has increased my explosive fitness and game endurance since having the opportunity to use their facilities. I continue to be able to sprint, jump and move close to like I could when I was playing college basketball in the States”.
